British Academy Master-Mind Lecture on Simone de Beauvoir

On March 20th I will give the “Master-Mind” lecture at the British Academy, on Simone de Beauvoir. This is only the second time since the “Master-Mind” lectures began in 1914 that the selected “Master-Mind” is a woman. How fitting that the one woman found worthy of inclusion in the series was a writer Beauvoir admired enormously in her youth, namely George Eliot. For more information about the event, click here.
