Toril Moi will give the HSRRC Annual Lecture at the University of Nottingham (UK) at 5 p. m. on Tuesday 29 June, 2010, in the Arts Centre Lecture Theatre. The title of her lecture will be “What Does It Mean to Claim thatÂ Sex, Gender and the Body Are Socially Constructed?”
On Wednesday 30th June she will lead a seminar on the new translation of The Second Sex, in the French Department at the University of Nottingham. The seminar will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Place TBA.
Toril Moi will give the keynote address at the Association for the Advancement of Scandinavian Studies in Canada’s annual meeting in Montreal, Canada, May 28 – 31, 2010. The title of her lecture at the AASSC Conference will be “‘Something That Might Resemble a Kind of Loveâ€™: Fantasy and Realism in Henrik Ibsenâ€™s Little Eyolf.â€ The lecture will take place on Saturday May 29, at 11 a.m. in EV 1-605 (The Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Complex), Concordia University, 1515 St. Catherine Ouest.
Toril Moi will visit Auburn University on April 1-2, 2010. She will give a lecture on “The Body in Feminist Theory: Wittgensteinian Perspectives”, and do a seminar on some of her recent essays.
